Alexis Shooshani, MS, MHC-I
You carry an inherent resilience, but in a high-pressure university or career environment, it is easy to lose sight of your own strengths. I am here to cultivate an encouraging, supportive space that allows you to stop performing and start creating meaningful change. As a clinician at Resilience Therapy, I utilize a warm, person-centered approach to offer a safe and uplifting environment where you can explore complex emotions, gain clarity, and feel truly understood. We move past simple talk therapy to help you tap into the tools you need to feel steady and grounded in your daily life.
Viewing therapy as a collaborative partnership, I am dedicated to supporting you in managing intense emotions, building self-awareness, and feeling empowered in your daily decisions. My goal is to help you overcome past challenges and gain the confidence required to step into your most authentic self. To achieve this, I utilize an integrative framework that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused approaches. This commitment ensures that our sessions provide practical tools and techniques designed for lasting personal growth rather than just temporary relief.
Starting therapy is a strategic decision to prioritize your well-being over the expectations of others. You do not have to wait for a crisis to ask for support or have all the answers figured out before you walk through the door. My priority is to ensure you leave each session feeling seen, supported, and equipped to handle life’s stressors with confidence. Let us work together to unearth your potential and build a foundation of stability that allows you to truly thrive.
