Jonathan Farr
You’re never enough. Or at least that’s how it feels.
Maybe it's how much you make, how much you do, or how hard you work. Maybe it's someone else telling you that. Maybe it's your own inner voice. In any case, you're suffering—either because you're doing everything you can, or you're struggling to do anything at all. And in both cases, you feel like a failure.
If this sounds like you, you're not alone. I will help you turn the suffering into struggling. Both are inevitable in this life, but struggling leads to growth and, ultimately, forward momentum.
I have considerable experience with AD/HD, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and substance use. I'm comfortable working with a wide variety of ages and backgrounds, and I also bring to my work a strong understanding of issues related to race, ethnicity, and LGBT+ identities.
Therapy should pay more attention to strengths than deficits. If life is an uphill battle, then we'll acknowledge your effort of trudging up that hill. I see therapy as two experts working together. If I'm an expert in mental health, you're the expert in your own life.
