Pooja Shah, LMFT, PLLC
I know finding a therapist can be overwhelming, so I welcome you on this journey! My approach is client centered which combines treatment methods of Humanism, CBT, Mindfulness, Attachment Theory, and other interpersonal theories. During our work together, I will focus on understanding your story, values, and goals to help you in finding coping strategies that promote self-awareness, self-compassion, and overall, an improved quality of life.
I have experience working with individuals and couples that come from various backgrounds such as severe trauma, depression, anxiety, domestic abuse, grief/loss, generational trauma, and addiction. I am an advocate for victims of narcissistic abuse and provide psychoeducation on ways to cope, grieve, and heal from these toxic relationships.
I invite members of any community, especially cultures where therapy is stigmatized to have a safe space for building a meaningful connection. I believe in the importance of having a strong therapeutic relationship that promotes trust, growth, and a supportive experience where you will feel empowered in the end.
