Therapists for college students near 80309
We are a collective of body- and mindfulness-based coaches and therapists. We offer body-based contemplative counseling, specifically focused on the nervous system; here-and-now awareness; and relationships to ourselves, others, and the natural world, to unwind old patterns from the bottom up, leading to more energy, empowerment, and intimacy. We each have our own specialties (such as PTSD treatment, imaginal work, couples therapy, etc.), yet we share a passion for helping you explore your inner world; integrate difficult experiences; and feel more healthy, whole, and nourished. Everyone needs support to deepen into our own experience, find regulation and groundedness, and open to showing up as more of ourselves in the world, with the strength and freedom to offer our gifts. We would love to accompany you on your journey!

The Umbrella Collective was developed to be a group practice where clients can see themself reflected in their therapists from an inclusive standpoint. We consist of a network of talk therapists who specialize in working with an intersectional lens, centering the margins in the therapeutic work. We offer many different psychotherapy modalities, including psychodynamic, somatic, EMDR, CBT, Hypnotherapy, and Substance Abuse treatment. We provide consultation to individuals, families, and groups. Umbrella Collective mental health professionals are passionate about social justice, dedicated to ongoing training and education in best practices for BIPOC, LGBTQ people, and people who experience life on the margins. We are skilled at working with you and your intersecting identities. Mission Statement: We are a group of depth-oriented mental health therapists who strive to embody values of liberation, welcome and honor all parts of our humanity, deeply appreciate intersectionality and empower all people to tell their story and experience acceptance, belonging and more meaningful relationships with self and others.

As a therapist, I offer insight-oriented therapy, which includes deep self-reflection, exploration of your hopes and goals, and artistic exploration. My practice focuses on attachment work, which helps people to strengthen their connection with their truth and authenticity. Being true to ourselves leads to greater self-worth, intuition, empathy, and better relationships. We can more confidently pursue our passions and purpose, and be more clear on our next steps in life. Young adults often see me to address the transition to college or graduation from college. Others are dealing with difficult family dynamics, including situations where their identities or life choices are not accepted or respected by family members. Some are seeking guidance as they develop their professional identity and consider their life trajectory. Others are healing from trauma, including sexual assault or abuse. The tools I draw on when working with young adults include talk therapy and EMDR—and I also find mediums like sand tray and art therapy to be useful. I offer sessions in-office or nature-based. Hello all! I am a therapist with extensive experience helping people heal from trauma and navigate stress. I have worked and trained all over the world - in Northern Iraq, India, and Costa Rica, helping folks heal from war trauma and violence. I now work in Denver with New Americans and immigrant families as they adjust to the US, and here in Boulder with anyone ready to heal from trauma and feel more alive. My practice is called Prosocial because it is a community-based model, which means when you come to therapy with Prosocial, you make it possible for others to access affordable, low-cost therapy. Your session gives a session, and every session counts. This is where self-care becomes community care. Find out more at my website at the bottom of this page. Let's heal together!

As a Stanford trained psychologist, I combine insight-oriented with skill-based therapy approaches to help young adults and adults with anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive symptoms find their way back to a fulfilling life. Do you feel sad and down for no apparent reason? Do you feel all alone and as though nobody understands you or sees your pain? Do you tend to overthink things? Do uncertainties of life scare you or do you feel like you need to control your environment to feel safe. You are not alone. Through my ability to read between the lines, I can see you and help you better understand yourself. We will work through subconscious challenges that interfere with your joy in life, growth, and path to healing. I also specialize in working with individuals and their family who struggle with the diagnosis of cancer or other medical conditions. I will help you find ways to cope with fear, loss and uncertainty related to your condition and make sense of your situation productively. Let's work together to help you thrive with your disease. PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT: In addition to therapy, I provide a variety of psychological assessment services, including mental health evaluations for adults in legal proceedings (civil and criminal); psychodiagnostic evaluations to inform treatment and clarify diagnostics; and neurocognitive assessments. My journey into the world of mental health services has come through my own struggles with adoption trauma, addiction, and long-term depression. Such conditions have made me an avid researcher of the human mind and heart, and a passionate experimenter of the means by which we transform both. This research and experimentation has (thankfully) fine-tuned my relationship skills and made me fluent in many languages of internal exploration. The most impactful of all of these have been the practices of meditation and somatic psychotherapy. I have spent nearly twenty years exploring them in depth and I would love to share them with you.
You’re doing your best to manage, but something still feels stuck. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, painful past experiences, relationship struggles, or neurodivergence, these challenges can feel overwhelming. You’re tired of just getting by and want relief, clarity, and a deeper sense of purpose and stability. Through therapy, we'll explore how past experiences shape present dynamics and create space for decisions rooted in intentionality. You’re not interested in surface-level fixes—you’re ready to understand yourself more deeply, shift long-standing patterns, and feel more grounded and connected in your life and relationships. I offer insight therapy that helps build resilience, deepen emotional awareness, and encourage healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. Together, we create a supportive space for reflection and growth, guiding you toward meaningful change and greater well-being. My approach is warm, intuitive, and genuine—rooted in curiosity, trust, and openness. Starting therapy is a courageous step toward clarity and self-understanding. I offer a compassionate, attentive space where every part of you is welcomed—including the parts you're still making sense of or learning to embrace. If you're ready to open yourself to authentic change, I invite you to reach out. We can begin that transformation, together.
