Therapists for college students near 02138
Hi, I’m LeAnna Longhi, a licensed therapist passionate about helping college students and young adults navigate life’s challenges. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, adjusting to campus life or major life changes, you don’t have to face it all alone. College is a time of growth and uncertainty, and can sometimes be overwhelming. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can show up as you are, feel genuinely heard, and start making sense of what you're going through. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in your way and build on your strengths to help you feel more confident, grounded, and in control. I take a collaborative, compassionate approach to therapy — blending practical tools with emotional insight to help you better understand yourself and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
It's ok to ask for help. But it's also ok to wonder if a therapist can really help you. It's true that I can't erase your past or instantly take away your pain (although I wish I could). However, I can help you carry your burdens more lightly, whether that means healing from trauma, finding closure from a relationship, or learning new ways of coping with depression and anxiety. I can offer you a new perspective on the issues that you are dealing with. You have struggled alone long enough. Therapy is your time to feel supported and understood. I have extensive experience treating a variety of issues (see list of specialties below). I use several therapeutic approaches including person-centered, strength-based, interpersonal, compassion focused, multicultural, and CBT. Therapy is not a "one size fits all" approach. We will work together to figure out the best approach for your individual needs. I know it's difficult to reach out to someone you hardly know and share struggles that are so deeply personal to you. I will offer you a safe space where you can just come as you are. Clients describe me as kind, caring, and nonjudgmental. Please contact me for a complimentary consultation to see if we might be a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you.
At Karras Psychological Services, our goal is to empower you with the skills you need to live your best life. We use evidence-based techniques to help you identify and understand the reasons behind your roadblocks and work with you to overcome them. Whether you're struggling with an eating disorder, anxiety, depression, relationships issues, we're here to support you.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, New York and Massachusetts (LMHC-D)/Licensed Professional Counselor, Arkansas (LPC) and a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. I have a Master's in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling and a Master's in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, I taught for five years before joining the mental health profession. My experience as a mental health therapist involves working with clients of all ages, from preschool to adults, as well as with families, and couples. By implementing various interventions and techniques, the client is able to gain insight into their strengths, as well as discover new coping skills. I enjoy working with the client to help them gain insight into themselves, and their family system. I am passionate to be a mental health therapist, and am happy to offer support wherever I can. I strive as a therapist to help guide and support my clients in a safe and non-judgmental environment. I focus on the whole picture of mental health, and take time to separate and process the many Google tabs we tend to keep open. I am neurodivergent and enjoy working with the neurodivergent population.
Life is incredibly overwhelming at times, isn’t it? We have all kinds of expectations and demands from our family, our partners, friends, employers, professors, and even ourselves. It can seem like a harsh world and the last few years have felt especially taxing. So many young adults are inundated with stress and sadness. This can lead to feeling anxious, unfocused, unproductive, and irritable. Then the self-doubt and criticism inevitably emerge and the questions of “What is my purpose?” and “Will things ever get better?” arise. If you are experiencing challenges or struggles, I would love to work with you and create some clear and concise goals as well as strategies to attain your objectives. I incorporate an integrative approach to therapy, using evidence-based cognitive behavioral and solution-focused techniques into my practice, primarily. We can talk about whatever is causing you stress. Seriously! Nothing is off-limits and there’s no judgement here. Instead, we explore the issues that impact your relationships and your life. Together, we will work to understand the origins of your overwhelming emotions, create some self-care practices for you, develop coping skills to help you feel better, and set forth an action plan to help you move forward. We will work towards your vision of happiness and contentment so that you can live the life that you deserve! I can offer you an empathetic and nonjudgmental relationship in which I support and encourage you in working through your frustrations, questions of identity and self-exploration, or relationship issues. I can assist you to become more aware of your emotional responses to disappointments, and to see that setbacks can be a time of self-reflection and growth. I taught at the college-level for many years and have vast experience with both young and older adults in the college environment who have had personal, academic, and career concerns. I truly enjoy the college population and would feel honored to help. Let's connect! Please visit my website and schedule a free 15-minute consultation with me.

I work with Students at all leveles and my approach is both flexible and eclectic. I often use Brief Intermittent Therapy. I find that it works best for people to come in for a defined brief period of time (such as 6-8 weeks) and focus on one specific area that needs attention; the time in therapy is more concentrated and effective. When the need arises, I welcome clients back for a "tune up." My clinical work with students and families began in the early 1990’s. Much of my career has centered on helping kids in school settings. I also work with teachers and staff. I have successfully supported clients during times of crisis, transition, and struggle. I can help with anxiety, depression, peers, LGBTQ+ issues, and post-concussion support. I invite you to reach out and see if we would work well together. I am equally comfortable working via teletherapy or in-person therapy. My office is located in Harwich Center on Cape Cod. I'm happy to discuss what works best for you. I like to create a safe and supportive environment to allow clients to explore the challenges in their lives and to create healthier coping strategies and ways of thinking to live happier and more satisfying lives. I enjoy working with adults and older adolescents struggling with stress, life problems, self-confidence, and/or relationship issues. I have a background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but I utilize a variety of techniques in sessions. I am a strong believer in "word choice" and becoming aware of the implications our words have on our thoughts and feelings.

Life can be overwhelming. There are many things to address, or things we want to work on, but we often don’t know where to start. You don’t have to figure out it all out overnight. You don’t have to feel ashamed for being where you are. All you have to focus on is one small thing you can do today to get closer to where you want to be in life. Slowly, one step at a time, you can get there. That one step could be reaching out to a therapist to have non-judgmental support through this process. This is where I can help. I provide a therapeutic space to explore struggles in a relaxed manner. You take the lead, I am a supporting role. I offer different perspectives, brainstorming ideas, coping strategies, & practicing what you want to improve. Working for almost 10 yrs. has trained me in numerous styles of therapy, so I think outside the box & pull from various strategies to help you find the right tools for your situation. Online Only. I am able to work with issues related to: grief/loss, depression, anxiety, caregiver/parent support, relationships, trauma, and life changes. If you're interested in seeing if I'm a good fit for your needs, & would like to start your therapy journey, please reach out via email.
