I have spent the past five years in clinical practice supporting individuals who feel stuck or are navigating major life transitions, including college students facing academic, relational, and personal challenges. Hi! I’m Jocelyn, a psychiatric nurse practitioner passionate about supporting women and anyone who identifies with womanhood through life’s ups and downs. I specialize in helping clients manage ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma, and I have a special interest in perinatal mental health. College and young adulthood can bring so many transitions—new responsibilities, shifting identities, and sometimes overwhelming stress. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can feel seen and supported. In our sessions, I combine medication management with brief, solution-focused therapy to help you better understand your mind, build coping skills, and feel more balanced day to day. I especially enjoy working with BIPOC, Latinx, and LGBTQ+ students and young adults who are exploring growth, healing, and self-discovery.
My goal as a clinician is to help you feel free. In treatment, I will invite you to bring your whole self into the room, as you are. Together, we will work to identify the ways in which you feel stuck and shift unhealthy patterns that keep you from moving forward. There is no need to "have it all figured out." All I ask is that you remain open and curious to the known and unknown parts of yourself. It is my hope that through our work together, you will begin to better know who you are, identify what you want, and live a richer, more meaningful life.
Empowered psychiatry wants to provide a space of inclusivity and comfort where you will receive care in an affirming and empowering approach. In addressing your mental health, we will be addressing what may ail you, but we will also be exploring what optimal functioning and well-being look like for you. Our goal is to help you achieve your defined best.

Starting therapy is a big step—one that takes courage. College can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. Maybe you're struggling with the weight of past experiences, feeling lost about your future, or dealing with relationship challenges that leave you unsure of where you stand. Balancing all of this while trying to keep up with school and daily life can feel like too much to handle on your own. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Therapy is a space where you can bring your full self—your worries, frustrations, hopes, and uncertainties—without fear of judgment. My goal is to help you make sense of what feels messy, reconnect with your strengths, and navigate the challenges that are holding you back. I specialize in working with college students and understand the unique struggles that come with this stage of life. If you're curious about how therapy might help, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. Feel free to check out my website or send me an email with any questions. No matter what you're facing, you're not alone, and I'm here to support you.
