Therapists for college students near Boston, MA
As a therapist and yoga teacher, I strive to provide a welcoming space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves and supported in achieving their treatment goals. First, we will work together to deepen understanding of your current stressors and then identify areas for healing and growth. We will explore a variety of therapeutic techniques together and I am committed to helping you discover what works best for you. My therapeutic style is collaborative and strength-based. I draw upon a myriad of clinical interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, self-compassion research, as well as various yogic and meditative practices. Together we will identify interventions and tools that best serve your unique treatment goals. I firmly believe that healing is possible within the therapeutic relationship and have witnessed clients develop the skills to move through life's challenges with greater ease. It has been a privilege to have served so many on their journey towards well-being, and I am hopeful that I may be able to assist you as well.
Hi, I’m Molly Johnson and I’m a licensed therapist in both Massachusetts and Minnesota. I’m passionate about helping people heal, deepen their insight, and become more skillful in how they live their life. While I previously offered in-person therapy, I now work exclusively through virtual sessions. Many clients begin with some hesitation, but soon find that virtual therapy feels just as connected and supportive as being in the room together. My therapeutic approach draws from DBT, CBT, and other evidence-based practices, but at the heart of my work is a genuine listening ear, attentive presence and someone who is cheering you on!
Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, frustrated, or "meh?" At Ever Human Therapy we provide a non-judgmental, open environment for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. Ever Human clinicians have experience with trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, school related performance, ADHD, executive functioning, college stressors, and navigating relationships. I provide client-centered psychotherapy services that are tailored to the needs of each client. I draw from a variety of theoretical orientations including Psychodynamic (insight oriented) and behavioral (skills oriented) treatment approaches. I provide individual therapy to adults and adolescents in both English and Japanese. Some areas of specialty include relationship issues, self esteem issues, life transitions, stress, anxiety, mood issues (depression), family issues and cross cultural adaptation. My clients describe me as warm, empathetic and genuine. I am concerned with understanding the full person with whom I am sitting, and not only their problems or symptoms. I currently have a Friday morning availability at 1015am and am conducting sessions by phone only.

As a therapist who likes to get results, I can help you define and meet your goals. In most case, I have found cognitive behavioral therapy to be a very effective tool. In addition to teaching specific skills and techniques, I offer support and empathy so that you feel fully understood and accepted. Time and time again, I have seen that when you gain insight and understand the valid origins of your beliefs and behaviors, you can make healthier choices.

Hi! I am a licensed outpatient mental health counselor with a community mental health background, and work primarily from young/emerging adulthood to middle adulthood. I have experience working with complex trauma, as well as challenges associated with emerging adulthood, gaining independence, and setting personal goals for growth. Additionally, I enjoy providing support to other mental health clinicians seeking services themselves. I offer one-on-one outpatient therapy using a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), attachment-based therapy, and more. I view my work through trauma-informed and culturally-informed lenses. Building rapport and a trusting therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance in order for treatment to be most effective. I would love the opportunity to get to know you and be a part of your journey towards growing and healing.
I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to process memories, thoughts and feelings. There are long, lost fears and often past traumas at play in all of us. Some surface, wreaking havoc with our lives. They can appear as grief, depression, anxiety or crisis. Others remain dormant and can surface at all the wrong times. You may appear successful, but despite your accomplishments, you are not happy or it seems like others are happier than you. Your personal relationships are not satisfying in the way you expect. Why is happiness still elusive? We can dislodge what is blocking your best life and guide you to a healthier self. We will guide you to new understandings, new behaviors and new ways of being that will lead you to a happier self. You can reduce the anxiety and depression. You can disarm the trauma and grief that has made the days so uncomfortable. I provide a safe, empathetic environment for change. Call to book an appointment or consultation.
College can look exciting on the outside and feel overwhelming on the inside. I work with students who are dealing with anxiety that won’t quiet down, focus that feels impossible, mood changes, burnout, or the pressure to keep it all together. If things feel harder than they should, you’re not alone. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I provide thoughtful, personalized medication management. I take time to listen, explain options in clear language, and work with you to build a plan that feels manageable and realistic for your life. You deserve support that feels steady, respectful, and not rushed.

I'm a MA licensed mental health counselor providing telehealth therapy. I've worked with teens, college students, and young adults in a multitude of capacities throughout my career. My role is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship that can help encourage you to see things in a different light, respond to situations in a new way, and navigate life’s challenges. These activities can include self-care, leisure and social participation, work, school, household management, and other responsibilities. OTs provide interventions focused on skill-building, as well as finding environmental and activity adaptations, to best support an individual’s occupational engagement. Our practice focuses on supporting clients with routine and responsibility management, coping with stress and emotions, leisure and social engagement, and life skills/transition to adulthood. We work with youth (16+) and adults managing mental health conditions, executive functioning difficulties, and challenges navigating one’s daily life.
Thank you so much for taking a look at my profile. I have been in private practice since 2011 and prior to that primarily worked in university counseling centers with both college age clients as well as older adults. While I use cognitive behavioral treatment strategies to help clients manage what brings them into treatment, I also find that it can be helpful to explore where certain thoughts or feelings come from to create a deeper understanding and hopefully ultimately minimize unwanted feelings or symptoms. I provide a free 5-10 minute initial consultation over the phone to make sure this seems like a good match and our schedules align. Please feel free to reach out by phone or email, with email being checked more regularly. I look forward to working with you!
