Life can be overwhelming. There are many things to address, or things we want to work on, but we often don’t know where to start. You don’t have to figure out it all out overnight. You don’t have to feel ashamed for being where you are. All you have to focus on is one small thing you can do today to get closer to where you want to be in life. Slowly, one step at a time, you can get there. That one step could be reaching out to a therapist to have non-judgmental support through this process. This is where I can help. I provide a therapeutic space to explore struggles in a relaxed manner. You take the lead, I am a supporting role. I offer different perspectives, brainstorming ideas, coping strategies, & practicing what you want to improve. Working for almost 10 yrs. has trained me in numerous styles of therapy, so I think outside the box & pull from various strategies to help you find the right tools for your situation. Online Only. I am able to work with issues related to: grief/loss, depression, anxiety, caregiver/parent support, relationships, trauma, and life changes. Greetings, I am an 11 year Marine Corps veteran (2003 to 2014), experienced in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. My main approach is person centered with a spattering of CBT, ACT, and REBT. Feel free to chat with me a bit and see if we work well together. I completed my master's in mental health counseling at Cambridge College in 2022, worked in a psychiatric hospital in a dual diagnosis role from 2022 to 2023, and moved on to community mental health where I worked as an outpatient clinician from 2023 to 2024, earning my licensure in December of that year.

As a dual-certified practitioner of integrative psychiatry, I bring a holistic perspective to mental healthcare, grounded in a deep understanding of the mind-body connection and its impact on both mental and physical well-being. My approach to psychiatric care is centered on collaboration, empathy, and honoring each individual's unique path. Through comprehensive assessments, tailored treatment plans, expert pairing of both psychotropic and complementary interventions, and continuous therapeutic support, I work to guide my patients through challenging times, build resilience, and empower a strong sense of self-efficacy.

The students who tend to find their way to me have usually already tried something - a therapist, a medication, maybe both, and it helped a little, or not at all, or worked for a while and then stopped. They're not starting from scratch. They're starting from tired. I work well with students who look fine on the outside but are running on empty internally. Students who've been told they have anxiety when what they actually have is undiagnosed ADHD that's been burning through their reserves for years. Students with depression that hasn't responded to standard antidepressants and who need someone willing to look further. Students with OCD who've spent years being misunderstood or only partially treated. I'm a psychiatric nurse practitioner, which means I do evaluations and medication management — I'm not a therapist. What makes my approach different is that I look at the full picture before making any recommendations: your history, what you've already tried, your sleep, your biology, whether there might be a different explanation for what you're experiencing than the one you've been given. I see students via telehealth in Arizona, Massachusetts, and Washington, and in person at my Mesa, AZ office. I'm also licensed in Colorado, New Mexico, Rhode Island, and Vermont if you're in one of those states. Most major insurance accepted, including many student health plans. New patients usually seen within a few days. Booking: https://mindgardenmhs.intakeq.com/booking

I know how easy it is to fall into the trap of believing you need to ‘fix’ yourself in order to be happy. My goal is to help you break free from self-judgment and step into a healthier, more balanced version of yourself. We’ll work together to understand all aspects of who you are, using a holistic approach that acknowledges both your struggles and your strengths.

Hi, I’m Kari (she/they)! I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Massachusetts and a Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F). I provide body-centered and nature-based psychotherapy for folks who have experienced complex trauma, religious/spiritual harm, and/or chronic illness. Whatever your reason for seeking out therapy today, know that you are welcome here. Rather than telling you what to do or handing out advice, I believe that my job is to engage you in looking deep within yourself for the answers and healing you desire. Coming from a humanistic perspective, my practice is based on the belief that every human being has inherent dignity and worth. I truly trust that you are already whole and have everything you need within you to create change and live the life you are meant to live; you may just need some support in developing and connecting to your body’s inner wisdom, which is where I come in. I am here to provide a safe space for you to explore your inner landscape in order to help you meet your goals. Depending on your preferences and needs, I will use an eclectic mix of mindfulness, body-based, expressive, and narrative approaches, all from a trauma-informed perspective.

If you are struggling with a life transition, relationship issue or feeling stuck in a cycle of worry or sadness, I am here to listen to you and help. Together, we will explore the challenges you are facing, gain insight into deeply rooted patterns of behavior, and identify skills to help you live life according to your own values. My style is active and engaged, and my clients find therapy to be a safe, supportive and collaborative space. I believe that kindness, warmth, humor and curiosity are vital to a successful therapeutic experience, and that every person has strengths that can assist them in navigating the obstacles they face. I have specialized in working with college and graduate students for the past nine years. Treatment is tailored to each individual using an integrative approach. I currently practice through Telehealth for clients in NY, CT, and MA. One of the most important elements of successful therapy is your connection with your therapist. I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist, and I feel privileged to help those struggling with mental health issues. I understand that there is still a stigma surrounding mental health, and I strive to ensure my patients feel understood during our appointments. Building rapport and getting to know my patients beyond just their diagnoses is central to my approach to care. I have experience treating patients in various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, emergency departments, and medical hospitals. I believe that the best outcomes usually occur when medications and therapy are used together. While I enjoy treating all psychiatric illnesses, I have a particular affinity for personality disorders and substance use disorders. I also have experience addressing mental health issues during and after pregnancy. I completed my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Biology at Laurentian University, followed by medical training at Ross University School of Medicine. I then completed my psychiatry residency, serving as chief resident, at the University of North Dakota in Fargo.

Are you stuck? Overwhelmed? Unsure of who you are and what you want? My style is compassionate, intuitive and direct. I offer an empowered approach to healing. I empower you to become a conscious co-creator of your life. I use my own life experiences to assist you in shedding shame and getting unstuck. I use tools, education and workshops to empower and enlighten you. I view symptoms as a sign one is out of alignment with their truth, rather than as a symptom to be treated. When we were not mirrored properly as children, we get stuck settling for less than we deserve in our life, work + relationships as adults. Emotional neglect erodes self-trust and lowers self-worth. I help you clear the lens you see yourself through.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in addressing trauma, stress, anxiety, and adjustment concerns in adults. My practice focuses on helping individuals process difficult emotions and live more meaningful lives. I believe that therapy is most effective when it is tailored to the individual needs, strengths, and values of each client. Together, we will work to identify your treatment goals, further develop existing strengths, learn new skills, and pursue what is most important to you. I aim to create a non-judgmental space and to be authentic and compassionate in my work. I am dedicated to providing culturally responsive care and welcome clients of diverse backgrounds and identities. My approach integrates cognitive and behavioral principles (such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness) and uses evidence-based trauma-focused therapies (e.g., cognitive processing therapy, prolonged exposure). I tailor my psychotherapy services to meet each client’s individual goals and values. Please contact me to learn more and see if we might be a good fit.

Hi, my practice is here to support those struggling with disordered eating, body image issues, depression, anxiety, and complex trauma. Most of my clients come to me due to feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, exhausted, and have a feeling of just surviving. I utilize a variety of different modalities based on the individuals needs. I often will encourage clients to process feelings from the inside out this allows for a deeper connection to your authentic self and sets you up to have your needs met. Some practices I may use are mindfulness, breathing practices, brainspotting, and guided somatic practices.

I provide a safe, non judgmental space for you to unpack your struggles. By using thoughtful questions, I aim to guide you in finding greater insight and more awareness into thoughts and patterns. The modality I most align with is mindfulness based CBT which focuses on identifying and challenging negative thinking patterns that lead to depression and anxiety. What makes my practice unique is my ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and to support them in their personal growth. I'm attuned to the themes and blocks that often go unspoken, and I'm passionate about this work because I believe healing and self discovery are powerful tools for creating a better, more compassionate world.

Hi, I’m Bela. College can bring a lot of change, pressure, and uncertainty, but it can also be a meaningful time for self-discovery and exploration. It’s completely understandable to feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck at times. I work with students navigating relationships, identity, family expectations, food and body image, and difficult past experiences. I offer a warm, genuine space where you can be yourself, explore what matters to you, make sense of what you’re going through, and find a way forward that feels aligned with your core Self. If you’re curious about working together, we can start with a no pressure chat to see if we might be a good fit. If you’re outside my insurance plan, I’m also happy to talk about financial flexibility and options. I’m licensed in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. I meet with clients in person at my West Hartford office and offer telehealth throughout both states. For students who live, study, or spend time in both Connecticut and Massachusetts, this allows us to combine in-person and virtual sessions while maintaining continuity of care. Telehealth sessions are available whenever you are physically located in either state.

Hi and welcome! Do you wish life would slow down so you can take a breath? Stuff has been piling up and now your relationships are strained, your social life isn't what you want, and you don’t even really know who you are. Clients come to me looking to connect with a fellow human whose been there because therapy is a place where you feel genuinely seen & valued. Together we'll collaborate to achieve what you envision for your life and create lasting change. I help my client make sense of the confusing and messy parts of life. Areas of specific focus are: anxiety, self esteem, sex, relationships, life changes, identity exploration and development, sibling relationships, and more providing neurodivergent and queer affirming care. Many of my clients have had troubles connecting with other therapists or are hesitant to start the process. I get it! Vulnerability is scary as hell and the idea of therapy can be intimidating. I hold such gratitude to offer a space that feels safe & open to allow those I work with to freely explore themselves. I deeply value the relationship between a person & their therapist and prioritize nurturing this connection to make our work together the most meaningful for you. My role is to listen, offer perspective, and provide supportive challenge & guidance to empower you in supporting yourself as you continue to move through life. I tell my clients: at the end of the day, I’m here to work myself out of a job. Therapy with me integrates talking, exercises, and – brace yourself – sometimes homework between sessions to practice what we’re working on. Together, we will cultivate healthy habits, gain tools to navigate life's changes, identify unhelpful patterns, & discover or reconnect with your truest self. I believe we all have the capacity to heal and grow. Warm, intentional support during that journey can make all the difference. Through my own experiences, I know how powerful human connection can be in achieving change. I also know the therapist you trust for help is an important choice. My goal is to foster a space where all parts of you feel truly understood & aligned. So, I take my time to listen and learn about YOU – your circumstances, inclinations, past experiences, and desires to tailor my approach in ways that best serve you and your goals. I uplift and affirm BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and Kink communities, and all forms of identity expression, lifestyles, and relationships.
