Welcome. My name is Julia, and I’m here to support you. As a therapist, I specialize in trauma recovery and all that comes with it - depression, anxiety, grief, anger, coping (both healthy and unhealthy), and more. I have specific experience working with people battling substance abuse, and with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I primarily use mindfulness, parts work, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) skills, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in sessions with my clients. Therapy is a lot like exercise - it’s hard to get started, it hurts while you’re doing it… and you’re always glad you did it anyway. The first step is asking for help. This is hard, but you can absolutely do it. You're already here, aren't you?

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, CAADC with over 15 years of experience. I have specialized knowledge in trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance use. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Internal family Systems, (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidenced based intervention for working with individuals who have experienced trauma or disturbing events in their lives that keep them stuck. EMDR quickly moves an individual through disturbing events and negative self-beliefs, to positive self-beliefs, eliminating emotional distress. I believe improved quality of life, emotional, physical, and social, can be achieved by building upon your strengths and providing you a safe, supportive, nonjudgement environment, while respecting your hopes, dreams, and desires. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, families and the LGBTQ+ community obtain the quality of life they deserve through their healing process. If you do not have the quality of life you deserve, there is hope. It would an honor to assist you with achieving the happy, healthy, and purpose driven life, with quality relationships, that you so deserve.

I was a psychiatrist prior to immigrating to the United States in 2001. I currently work as rehabilitation counselor, case manager for people with disabilities and also work as a mental health counselor independently. I am a good listener and passionate about each individual's life journey, self-identity, acculturation, relationship and career path. When we sit down to listen, learn and share different perspectives, we unlock entirely new ways of seeing ourselves. Stress never goes away, but we can adjust how to react toward stress, build resilience for ourselves and healthy relationships with others.

Welcome! I’m so glad we’ve crossed paths. My name is Hayley, and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I have my master's degree in social work (LLMSW) from Grand Valley State University, where I also received my bachelor's degree in social work (BSW). Because everyone’s journey is unique, I will meet you where you're at and walk alongside you to provide the support you seek and deserve. My therapeutic style is warm, validating, supportive, empowering, and person-centered. I truly believe that having a safe and validating space to share our truth is so healing. The approaches I may implement in practice are elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, humanistic/client-centered, and strengths based. I specialize in anxiety, stress management, life transitions, LGBTQIA+, women’s issues, individuals involved in the justice system, pet end of life planning, and pet grief/loss. When I’m out of the office I find joy in spending time with my 5 cats. They are all rescues with unique stories and goofy personalities. I also have two chinchillas, and a general love for rodents. I believe animals are so healing. I know mine have saved me and brought me peace in so many ways. I also find joy in listening to my vinyl collection, watercolor painting, and looking for rocks and fossils along the shores of Lake Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Thank you for being here! I look forward to creating a validating therapeutic space for you that is accepting, healing, and empowering.

I work with college students and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship and attachment concerns, trauma, grief and loss, burnout, self-esteem challenges, and major life changes. My path started by working in alternative high schools, and then as a career counselor in management and business development roles for a few universities and military populations. I have over 18 years of experience working in education, career development, and mental health. My experience growing up in Flint, Michigan, and being the first in my family to attend college, shaped how I view and overcome challenges. I specialize in support for working professionals, especially teachers, nurses, and students with anxiety or depression who are struggling in their careers, education, or relationships. Many feel stuck, burnt out, angry, and overwhelmed. Chronic stress makes it hard for them to connect with their instructors, bosses, and peers. Time management is an issue and constantly trying to keep up. Some may prefer to be alone, even though it leads to ruminating over traumatic work experiences and substance use. My clients have demanding jobs and/or class schedules, and are highly trained and accustomed to solving problems. However, no one is immune to the long-term effects of stress and trauma. I have over 18 years working in counseling, higher education, and career development. My communication style is warm, yet solution-focused, often encouraging you to think from the end, build your resilience, and focus on the future. Some clients get what they need to make a positive change in 6-8 sessions. Others enjoy my long-term support to address trauma. First time trying talk therapy? Congrats on taking the first step. I value confidentiality and understand the college campus and workplace cultures. You do not have to go through this alone. Let's get you out of survival mode and start to thrive. Reach out to schedule your complimentary 15-minute consultation today. I look forward to talking with you.

In my 25 years of clinical work, the majority of my clients want to solve a problem(s) or gain control of their life. Seeking out therapy can be difficult for a multitude of reasons. Reaching out to a therapist is similar to reaching out to a physician, chiropractor or physical therapist; healing! In therapy, you decide the goals you want to reach. I can assist you in determining your goals, if you're not sure of the starting point. The choice is yours! I'm trained in multiple therapies, modalities and wholistic care. I utilize a mix to assist clients in their problem solving/healing process. I specialize in trauma/PTSD, dementia, addictions and cancer. I also work with anxiety, depression, life stressors (work, family, school, health), chronic pain and life transition/adjustments. Life is like a beach, it's different everyday. The sand shifts, the waves vary in size & intensity and the weather is out of our control. We can choose to take a walk, search for rocks, swim, kite surf or bask in the sun. Learn how to ride the waves of life and be the captain of your ship. Choose your journey.

Depression, anxiety, and trauma can show up in ways that feel overwhelming or hard to untangle—especially during periods of major life change. I’m Vivian, and I focus on providing a steady, reliable space for you to slow down and reflect. My approach centers on creating an environment where you feel safe and comfortable being completely open about your experiences, helping you make sense of what you’ve been carrying while moving toward something more manageable. I’ve always believed that even in the middle of a difficult season, there is a path toward clarity if we are willing to look for it together. As a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) with a background in both clinical training and behavioral health, I bring a practical and observant approach to the healing process. My experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) has taught me the value of focusing on progress over perfection—celebrating small wins while making plenty of room for the real-life challenges that come with growth. I’ve worked with individuals across the lifespan, as well as couples and groups, which has given me a broad understanding of how we relate to one another and ourselves. Whether we meet in person or virtually, my goal is to help you build the practical coping strategies and emotional insight you need to navigate life with more balance. I often think of my role as providing an objective mirror when things feel cloudy, helping you find your own internal compass. I am dedicated to being a consistent presence in your corner, offering the tools and encouragement needed to help you move from a place of surviving to a place of true confidence and calm.

Do you feel something is missing from your life? Do you feel you have lost your way and are unsure where to go next? Do you find yourself asking: “where did I go wrong” or “what matters to me anymore?” Clients may find their usual coping skills are no longer sufficient, have unintentionally relinquished their autonomy, be stuck due to unaddressed trauma, or have never found the time to look within and get to know themselves. Sessions with me are oriented around thought-provoking questions and free association. The process is highly client-driven as anything on your mind could merit deeper exploration. My preference is always to seek out the root problems, or at least the symptoms and patterns that will grant us the most headway. This process can take time, but my goal is for you to leave therapy with enough self-assurance and resilience to be your own therapist!
