“Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Tip toe if you must. But take the step” – unknown. Maneuvering through life’s troubled waters can sometimes be overwhelming. In today’s hectic fast-paced world sometimes it’s good to let your guard down, relax, and release all those emotions and troubles in a safe, comfortable environment. I am ready to help you heal, explore, and gain insight into resolving any issues to live a more serene, well-balanced life. I am passionate about helping clients bring back the laughter, confidence, and security. I am caring and committed with comprehensive treatments designed for each individual I work with. I have experience in working with individuals of diverse backgrounds in all stages of life from childhood issues to adolescence to adulthood. I have assisted individuals experiencing emotional and behavioral impairments as well as those struggling with adjusting to life’s hurdles and transitioning into new beginnings. Graduating from Michigan State University with my Masters in Social Work has given me the opportunity to work in such a rewarding field allowing me to walk beside those seeking a brighter life.

An essential part of our lives is creating and maintaining connections: to ourselves, other people, and the world around us. Sometimes, those connections require extra attention, in order to get the most out of life. I would be honored to walk with you through the process of learning about and cultivating that inner and outer connectedness. I work from a person-centered, holistic, and mindfulness-based approach. This means that I try to help my clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while practicing to re-regulate their body sensations in the moment. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, let’s connect! It's easiest for me to communicate by email, so if you reach out with a brief description of what you'd like help with we can get the process started.

My goal for counseling is to provide an open and accepting environment for everyone. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and it's important to feel connected to whoever you work with. I hope that my practice provides that for you.

When life becomes unmanageable due to a variety of circumstances, who or what do we tend to turn to? Anxiety, depression, and traumas mask over our true selves, shielding us from who we want to be. These masks also protect us from the fear that lies with working on these debilitating issues, more likely than not we pick up unhealthy habits and behaviors to help us cope. A lot of times we do not realize how this affects not just us, but any relationship we are in (personal, business, school, etc.) during these times we are struggling. It is important to know that we are not alone in this difficult journey. I am here for you in a compassionate and empathetic way as we work together to identify those roadblocks that are currently keeping you from ‘being’; helping you to overcome them or to better manage them the next time we face that same barrier, because we almost always do! I work with a variety of treatment modalities that are unique to each individual’s needs and that help us achieve the best results for you in your healing. Now, some things about me! I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology in 2018. Since 2013 however, my clinical background includes working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a rehabilitation setting providing individual psychotherapy with individuals diagnosed with traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I also have extensive experience in administering and scoring neuropsychological test batteries in various outpatient settings including a hospital-based program as well as in the setting of a neurobehavioral rehabilitation program. I do look forward to meeting with you and creating a safe space where we can begin the journey of healing. I am accepting new clients, and am currently available via telehealth Monday - Thursday, 9am to 7pm.

Do you know there are 104 words you can find in the 9 letters that make up the word POTENTIAL? There are. I've found every one of them (the first time without an app to help me!). I'm committed to helping my clients find all the things inside to help them live out their potential: heal from trauma, work through anxiety and depression, whatever it may be. I use the good, bad, and otherwise to help them become better.

Living a “life worth living” can seem like a path only others get to travel, while our journey feels unfair, exceedingly difficult, or at times impossible. At times we discover that our struggles are the result of the choices we made, or the choices others have made that affect us. At other times, we unknowingly hold onto faulty beliefs about ourselves or others, living as if they are true or accurate. To cope, we develop strategies to make the journey seem more doable. They can indeed be helpful and carry us toward our goals, or be the very obstacle that prevents us from achieving our potential. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Diplomate with the NASW in Clinical Social Work. I have worked with children, teens, young adults, and adults, as a practitioner of DBT,and CBT, supportive therapies, and multiple trauma modalities such as Prolonged Exposure, Traumatic Incident Reduction, TF-CBT, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. If you find that this description of “living” resonates for you, therapy may provide the hurdle help you need to claim or reclaim your agency. Goodness of fit is a crucial variable in therapy. There are many therapists in our community who may be that link for you. If after reading my profile, we may seem like a good fit, give me a call.

I am so honored you found yourself here. I believe therapy works best when you feel deeply understood—not analyzed or rushed. Before I’m a therapist, I’m a human who values gentleness, curiosity, and compassion. It’s truly a privilege to sit with folks as they share their stories, their pain, and hopes for something different. I have a special passion for working with neurodivergent (or “neurospicy”) humans and those whose nervous systems have been shaped by trauma. Therapy with me moves at a pace that honors your body, your boundaries, and your unique way of being in the world. There’s no pressure to perform or “fix” yourself. My work is grounded in experiential and somatic approaches, meaning we don’t just talk about what’s happening—we gently explore how your experiences live in your body, emotions, and relationships. This can be especially powerful for healing complex trauma, navigating chronic pain and reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have learned to stay guarded. If you desire to connect with a therapist that cultivates a safe space for you to explore healing without judgement and approaches your experiences with curiosity and empathy I invite you to this space. As a fellow neurodivergent, chronically ill, queer woman - I understand how exhausting life can be. Let us explore what living authentically means for you.

I am passionate about supporting the mental health of college students, with over a decade of experience dedicated to this field. We all experience difficult moments in our life journey. I am glad you are here to reflect on those moments and create space for personal growth, peace, and inner strength. I view therapy as a vital layer of support—a confidential space for self-exploration and healing. My hope is that this support empowers you to navigate life’s challenges alongside other sources of strength, such as family, friends, and community. My approach focuses on identifying and strengthening the skills you need to manage symptoms while addressing root causes. This process helps you gain deeper insight into your behaviors, ultimately fostering lasting change. Prevention and holistic well-being are also central to my work. I provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking personal growth and well-being. My focus is on empowering you to overcome challenges and achieve mental and emotional wellness. I believe in the power of therapy as a tool for positive change and am committed to helping you navigate your unique life journey. I received my master’s degree in holistic psychological counseling from Bangalore University in Bangalore, India and my master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. I have been practicing as a licensed psychologist in Michigan since October 2013. Prior to my graduate program at Wright State University, I worked as a mental health counselor for three years in Kerala, India. My clinical approach is integrative, incorporating perspectives and strategies from cognitive-behavioral, systems, feminist, and interpersonal frameworks. I am here to provide you with a safe space to explore the symptoms and challenges that affect your ability to have a meaningful life. I also prioritize a solution-focused approach when addressing mental health issues. It's important to consistently develop and strengthen our skills to manage various life challenges. My areas of clinical interest are anxiety, depression, stress management, self-esteem, holistic health, life transitions, personal growth, coping skills, and college/student transitions. I offer both in-person and telehealth therapy services to meet your individual needs and preferences. In-person sessions are available through GR Therapy Group in Grandville, a practice with a commitment to quality care. For those who prefer the flexibility of remote support, I provide secure and confidential telehealth sessions through Headway. To learn more about my online therapy services and how to get started, please visit eapenpsychologywellness.com. You will also find detailed information about me and my contact details there. I welcome any questions and look forward to connecting with you.

Hi, I'm so glad you decided to ask for help! You probably experience lots of stress, between work and school, and other life commitments. You may even be questioning personal things about yourself, now that you're out on your own - what kind of person you are, what kind of body image you have or want to have, sexuality and gender concerns, making friends, or managing home/school/life balance. I would love to help you become more of who you want to be, and live a happier, more carefree lifestyle.
