Becoming a clinical psychologist grew out of my lifelong wish to help people lessen the emotional and psychological pain that any of us can be susceptible to. I provide a place where people can feel listened to and understood. Feeling heard by someone else can often be the first step to better understanding one’s own feelings and others. Once I understand your issues, I utilize psychological treatments that incorporate the latest findings from cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, neuroscience, and modern psychoanalysis. These treatments are now helping more people find effective ways to meet their emotional needs and have fulfilling and enjoyable lives and relationships. If you are interested in learning more about ways that psychological treatment can reduce your emotional distress and help you to have the life you want to live, please do not hesitate to contact me to arrange for an initial consultation.
We all strive for success in our lives. How we function as parents, professionals, students, or children is shaped by a delicate interaction between factors inside us and outside of us. Our inherited traits, past experiences, and current circumstances all play a role in influencing how we navigate life’s challenges. Yet, it can sometimes be difficult to identify which of these factors are enhancing or hindering our ability to function at our best. The key to greater satisfaction and success lies in being aware of these internal and external factors, understanding how they influence our behavior, and learning how to regulate their impact. As a physician trained in adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry, I take a deeply individualized approach to each of my patients. I work with you to promote a healthy, psychoanalytically oriented exploration of yourself, helping you uncover the root causes of any emotional or psychological distress. By understanding these underlying factors, we can work together to create a clear path toward healing and growth In addition to working with individuals, I also collaborate closely with parents to support the emotional and psychological development of their children. Parenting can be incredibly challenging, and it’s important to approach it with insight and support. I work with families to develop highly individualized strategies that promote mental health, emotional resilience, and a more fulfilling life for everyone involved. Whether you are facing longstanding struggles or simply want to explore your thoughts and feelings more deeply, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can enhance your mental health, achieve greater emotional balance, & improve your overall satisfaction with life. I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you on your journey.

As a young adult, you often wonder what can be done to help yourself feel better. You have tried many things yet there has been little to no lasting improvement. Your personality has changed, you have challenges with relationships, their interests have decreased and you worry that things might get worse. You know that you have great potential to do great things but the way things are going, your future looks bleak. Seeking help can be scary, because you want to make sure that you have someone but feel scared about taking the risk of letting anyone in. Imagine what it would feel like not to constantly worry about so many things all of the time and feel confident about making decisions about everyday tasks. You would feel better about yourself and your ability to handle difficult situations that arise. In order to accommodate your schedule, I offer evening and weekend appointments so you don't have to worry about missing school. Together, we'll create a customized plan to get you back on track. Maybe you’ve been through relational trauma, adoption, or foster care, or had to play the “responsible one,” or learned early on to keep the peace, stay perfect, and not take up too much space. Maybe you’re just tired of feeling anxious in relationships, like you’re never quite sure where you stand—or who you’re allowed to be. You deserve support that really gets it. The Therapy Center for Transformative Growth (TCTG) was founded by two adoptees from foster care—also therapists—who couldn’t find the kind of care they needed, so they built it. Our center is a space for anyone navigating complex family dynamics, attachment wounds, identity questions, and the lasting impact of early or repeated loss. We’re especially attuned to supporting college-aged adults, BIPOC folks, LGBTQIA+ communities, and women—people whose stories are often misunderstood, minimized, or ignored altogether. Our therapists help you name what’s been hard, understand how it’s shaped you, and find new ways to move through the world—with more clarity, connection, and compassion for yourself. Therapy with us isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you come home to yourself.
In our initial sessions, I will encourage you to engage in activities that nurture your emotional, social, spiritual, and environmental well-being. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences freely. Together, we’ll work to uncover your inner strengths and coping strategies, helping you move toward healing, growth, and recovery. My passion for this work stems from a commitment to helping individuals recognize their own potential and navigate life’s challenges with resilience. My goal is to guide you on your journey to a more fulfilling, balanced life.
