Hello, I'm Dr. Brian Schneider, and I'm delighted that you're considering taking this important step towards your mental health and well-being. With over a decade of experience in psychology, I've had the privilege of working with individuals across all stages of life, from young children and adolescents to adults and families. My journey in this field has been driven by a passion for helping people navigate life's challenges and achieve personal growth. My approach to therapy is eclectic, blending holistic and scientifically supported techniques tailored to meet the unique needs of each person I work with. Whether you're dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, or relationship issues, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you can feel understood and valued. I believe that therapy is about building a strong, trusting relationship where you can comfortably share your experiences and work towards your goals. In addition to individual therapy, I have extensive experience in family and couples therapy. I specialize in a wide range of areas, including anger management, ADHD, autism spectrum support, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, children's and adolescent mental health, depression, family relationships, gender identity, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, medical issues, multicultural and diversity issues, narcissistic personality disorder, OCD, phobias, PTSD, intimate relationships, sleep disorders, stress, and trauma. I also offer telehealth services making therapy accessible and convenient for you.
My main focus are patients with trauma history and those currently suffering with anxiety and/or depression. I also work with those who are experiencing significant life changes, and those who are exploring their identity, values, and meaning of life.
Welcome to my practice. Please set up a free consultation. I love working with individuals who want a better relationship with themselves and others. Lets help you understand yourself so you are able to thrive in your life.
I provide telehealth/video sessions in California, Colorado, and Utah. I have a special interest in working with college students and young adults. As an LCSW I have provided counseling and psychotherapy to adults for over 35 years. I am certified in treating complex trauma and my approach includes teaching coping tools, insight development, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. I have extensive experience helping young adults, including healing from trauma, anxiety, stress management, and chronic & acute health conditions.
As a Stanford trained psychologist, I combine insight-oriented with skill-based therapy approaches to help young adults and adults with anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive symptoms find their way back to a fulfilling life. Do you feel sad and down for no apparent reason? Do you feel all alone and as though nobody understands you or sees your pain? Do you tend to overthink things? Do uncertainties of life scare you or do you feel like you need to control your environment to feel safe. You are not alone. Through my ability to read between the lines, I can see you and help you better understand yourself. We will work through subconscious challenges that interfere with your joy in life, growth, and path to healing. I also specialize in working with individuals and their family who struggle with the diagnosis of cancer or other medical conditions. I will help you find ways to cope with fear, loss and uncertainty related to your condition and make sense of your situation productively. Let's work together to help you thrive with your disease. PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT: In addition to therapy, I provide a variety of psychological assessment services, including mental health evaluations for adults in legal proceedings (civil and criminal); psychodiagnostic evaluations to inform treatment and clarify diagnostics; and neurocognitive assessments. Gen Z and Millennial women are often bombarded with difficult life transitions such as adulting, relationship distress, quarter-life crises, career pursuits, parenting, caregiving, and more. This can be a lot to manage! Societal pressures plus the changing roles of women in this age group require a focused, feminist, and knowledgable approach. It can be tricky searching for the right therapist, so I appreciate you being here in the first place. My approach is fine-tuned, using radical genuineness, to help you learn how to manage these unique stressors while maintaining authenticity and calm. I am practiced in several targeted therapies that meet the needs of women in transition including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy). In my personal experience, I have come to view change as the only constant, which is why I find great value in being able to help my clients through significant life transitions. Looking back at the clients I've served over the years, I have been able to find something about every one of them that I admire. I love meeting my clients where they are and seeing how I can support their walk through life in a genuine, non-judgmental, and meaningful way. If this sounds like the right approach for you, feel free to reach out for a phone consult.
I partner with clients to navigate life transitions, addressing challenges such as grief, loss, and anxiety. As an adept practitioner of EMDR therapy, I employ an eclectic and mindful approach to help individuals overcome trauma and align their lives with their values. Specializing as a relationship expert, I offer guidance to individuals and couples, focusing on enhancing communication skills and nurturing secure functioning relationships. Committed to LGBTQIA+ support, I maintain a sex-positive and body-positive stance, recognizing the transformative and healing potential inherent in each individual.
Many people come to therapy feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or like they’re “stuck” in patterns they understand but can’t seem to change. You may notice yourself pushing through stress, overthinking, shutting down, avoiding conflict, or feeling out of touch with how you actually feel. Many of us were never taught how to understand our emotions, regulate anxiety, or listen to what our bodies are trying to communicate. We learn to push through stress, become disconnected from ourselves, or rely on coping patterns that once helped us survive but no longer serve us. While traditional talk therapy focuses on changing thoughts or understanding patterns, somatic therapy includes working with emotions, nervous system responses, and physical sensations in the body. Together, we slow down and begin building a more compassionate and curious relationship with your internal experience rather than fighting against it. I integrate Somatic Experiencing®, Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)–informed approaches, with attention to how past relationships and nervous system patterns show up in the present. Sessions are paced to help you notice what’s happening internally, build capacity for difficult emotions, and unwind long-held stress and tension. With over 17 years of clinical experience, I help clients feel more ease, aliveness, and connection to themselves and others—especially those who continue to feel “stuck” even after years of therapy.
At Foothills CBT, we offer evidence-based therapies that have been validated by extensive research studies. Our mission is to provide our community with life-changing psychological services for long-lasting emotional health and wellness. As a psychologist candidate, I have completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at CU Boulder (go Buffs!) and I am practicing under the supervision of Dr. Samantha Monk Grigsby while pursuing independent licensure. I believe that this human life is NOT easy, and is often full of pain! At the same time, I deeply believe that when equipped with the right tools, each individual has the potential to create a vibrant and personally meaningful life. I am passionate about empowering my clients to make the changes they wish to see in their day-to-day lives. I have been trained in a wide variety of empirically-supported treatments, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I work with adult clients with a wide variety of presenting concerns, including anxiety or depressive disorders, PTSD, OCD, insomnia, and chronic pain. My style is warm, collaborative, and genuine. I teach clients skills to increase awareness of and create more helpful relationships with their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I also help clients learn to flexibly shift their attention at will; to build self-compassion; and to clarify personal values, solve problems, and move towards important goals. I would love to join your team. Please give our intake coordinator a call for more information, and let’s get started!
Looking for a therapist can be overwhelming, but finding the right fit shouldn't feel like a group project you're doing alone. Hi! I'm Cait, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who genuinely enjoys working with college students. I strive to create a space where you can show up as you are, talk through what's been weighing on you, and develop tools that help you feel more confident navigating life's challenges. If you'd like to learn more about me and my approach, I invite you to explore my website. I also offer a free 30-minute consultation where you can ask questions, share what you're looking for, and get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit. Therapy is an investment in yourself, and you deserve to find someone who feels right for you.
Hi, welcome to my practice! My main goal is to help you rediscover your true self. My approach to psychotherapy is holistic. Healing is most effective if it addresses the full range of the human experience, including body, mind and spirit. This understanding is rooted in my personal journey of healing in different wisdom traditions of the world. I have received training in shamanic traditions of South, Central, and North America. I completed my yoga teacher training in India, studied massage therapy in Thailand and have practiced Chinese martial arts for several years. Additionally, I worked for three years as a wilderness field guide in a wilderness treatment program with and emphasis on addiction. In my practice, I focus on somatic or body-based therapy, as well internal family systems and transpersonal psychotherapy. Some of my areas of expertise are trauma, addiction, sexuality, identity, anxiety and depression. I do talk therapy, as well as ketamine and cannabis-assisted therapy. I am devoted to being an unconditional support to my clients, walking beside them as they heal their deepest wounds and rediscover the wisdom of their body along the way.

Students I work with often have a lot on their plate and feel stuck trying to manage it all. You might be dealing with anxiety, feeling down, struggling in your relationships, or unsure of your direction. Even if things look “fine” on the outside, you may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or frustrated by patterns that don’t seem to change. Many of the students I work with are motivated for things to be different, even if they’re not sure how to get there yet. You may have tried to figure things out on your own but feel ready for support that is practical and actually helps you move forward. In our work together, I focus on what’s already working in your life and help you build from there. Therapy with me is collaborative, respectful, and centered around your goals. You can expect a supportive space where you feel heard, gain clarity, and take manageable steps toward feeling better, improving your relationships, and creating meaningful change.

You can establish and engage in useful coping skills that will allow you to spend less time battling your thoughts and more time living the life you want. If you're a couple struggling with relationship concerns, I will work with you to restore harmony in your relationship and strengthen your connection. I aim to provide a safe, warm and non-judgmental environment for my clients to explore their emotions, while also feeling comfortable and validated when sharing experiences, thoughts and behaviors. I practice using evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), as well as self-compassion and mindfulness techniques.
