Kinsey Erickson
I believe therapy can be a place where you can leave the expectations and demands of the world at the door to focus on redefining what life, joy, and connection mean to you. I practice knowing that you are the expert in your lived experiences; my role is not to prescribe but to walk alongside you on your journey. I apply a trauma-informed, feminist, and disability justice lens to my work and utilize modalities such as narrative therapy, Self psychology, and Liberation psychology. This means I focus on your innate strengths as well as how experiences in the therapy room extend to your relationships outside of it. As a queer and neurodivergent therapist, I believe in the value of a therapeutic space where we both can show up as our true selves. I am passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ as well as neurodivergent clients. During my previous work in hospital and community mental health settings I supported clients with relationship issues, and identity exploration, and gender dysphoria, as well as substance use concerns, trauma, OCD, grief, and depression. I value my previous training providing queer competent counseling that additionally affirms the experiences of kink practitioners, sex workers, and those in polyamorous/ENM relationships. Currently I am receiving doctoral training at Center Focused Therapy as I finish earning my PsyD in Clinical Psychology. I offer a free 15-minute video consultation and my sliding scale rate starts at $25.

Azra Husain
Hello, I’m Azra (she/her), LCPC. We live in an increasingly busy world, and most people find themselves not having the time or the opportunity to put themselves first. I don’t believe we exist just to work and survive, but also to reflect, grow, and experience the best versions of ourselves. Therapy can be a powerful tool on this journey. With over 10 years of experience as a clinician, I provide specialized support for individuals managing depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, PTSD, and self-esteem issues. My approach to trauma-informed therapy is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative, ensuring that adolescents, adults, and couples feel seen and supported. I employ an eclectic range of evidence-based treatments tailored to your specific needs. I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to identify and modify the self-limiting beliefs and behaviors that create life’s challenges. Additionally, I utilize acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help clarify personal values and motivating factors, while also drawing from interpersonal therapy (IPT) to improve communication, relationships, and healthy boundary setting. Recognizing that you matter is the essential first step toward improving the quality of your life and your relationships. In our therapeutic space, I prioritize patience, consistency, and a willingness to explore discomfort to help you find the lasting comfort you seek. Whether you are seeking help for specific symptoms or looking to grow personally, I am here to support you at Roamers Therapy.

It is hard to be a young person in today’s world! There is so much pressure to perform, to look a certain way, to achieve. Perfectionism, disordered eating, body-image stress, these are all ways to cope with the world we live in. I get that and am here to support you with zero judgement. It's hard to take the first step in looking for help, but you deserve a safe, supportive space, where you can find healing through connection and curiosity. I love helping young people find new ways of being that move them toward the life they want. Working from a Health at Every Size (HAES)-Aligned/all foods fit, feminist framework, I use a strength based, client-centered approach to help you reclaim your narrative and re-discover your joy. I have an integrative approach to treating eating disorders, OCD, and trauma using ERP, CPT, ACT, and narrative therapy. I really enjoy working with teens, young adults, and their families. I treat clients with a range of general mental health concerns with my main focus areas being eating disorder treatment, OCD, and trauma recovery. Lily Cornejo
Hi, I am Lily, MA (she/they)! Life is often unpredictable. We’re never given a script for “how to best live our lives,” and it can feel daunting and lonely to navigate without one. Therapy can be a space to explore the stories you’ve lived and what you want to write next, with greater trust, confidence, and attunement to yourself. As a Latinx and queer clinician, I understand the systemic challenges of living in our current environment. I’m guided by values of cultural humility and LGBTQIA+-affirming care, and I’m passionate about acknowledging systemic barriers while working alongside you to keep finding ways to cultivate hope in your life. I work with children, young people, adults, couples, and families and support them in navigating trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, identity and culture-related experiences, and more. In my practice, I use a humanistic, person-centered lens, integrated with trauma-informed and Internal Family Systems perspectives, to explore how you see yourself, others, and the world around you. I also draw from DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, and culturally responsive approaches to offer tools that can support you in making sense of past or present wounds. There can be something profoundly meaningful in having someone you can confide in, and I aim to provide a space that feels safe enough to explore what’s difficult, as well as what’s possible. I would be deeply humbled and honored to walk alongside you.
Chicago Talk Therapy
College can be exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between—and you don’t have to navigate it alone. Chicago Talk Therapy is a downtown practice designed with college students in mind, offering individual therapy for concerns like anxiety, burnout, relationships, identity, and the pressure to “have it all figured out.” Our therapists are warm, down-to-earth, and genuinely engaged, creating a space where you can be real about what’s going on—without judgment or expectations. We approach our work with cultural humility, honoring the many layers of who you are—your background, identities, and lived experiences—and how they shape what you’re going through. We also know that when you’re ready for support, you don’t want to wait weeks to get it. That’s why we offer immediate availability, flexible scheduling around your classes, and accept many major insurance plans. Whether you’re dealing with something specific or just feeling off, we’re here to help you make sense of things, feel more grounded, and get back to being yourself—on your terms.
Rachel Port
My areas of expertise include the treatment of anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, self-esteem deficits, academic underachievement, perfectionism, family of origin issues, LGBT concerns, and women's issues. I also specialize in working with college students and emerging adults.
Alex Garcia,LPC
College can bring a lot of change at once. You may be adjusting to greater independence, managing academic pressure, questioning what you want for your future, or trying to figure out who you are outside of the expectations you’ve carried with you. You might look like you’re handling everything on the outside while anxiety, perfectionism, OCD, or concerns about food and your body are taking up more space than you want them to. I enjoy working with college and graduate students who are curious about themselves and want to better understand what’s underneath the patterns they’re experiencing. I have extensive experience working with eating disorders, disordered eating and body image concerns, and OCD, and I also support students navigating anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, self esteem, identity exploration, and life transitions. I believe that what you’re experiencing doesn’t exist in isolation. Your culture, identities, family, relationships, and the systems around you can all shape how you understand yourself and move through the world. I especially enjoy working with women of color, BIPOC students, LGBTQ+ students, and students with other marginalized identities, and I welcome these parts of you into our work together. My approach is collaborative, relational, and curious. I’ll take time to get to know you and understand what you’re experiencing rather than assuming there is one right way to approach therapy. We can explore what may be keeping certain patterns in place, identify what matters to you, and build practical tools for navigating difficult thoughts and emotions. I’ll follow your lead while also offering questions, new perspectives, or gentle challenges when they may help you go deeper. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), adapting our work based on what feels most helpful for you. My hope is that therapy gives you space to understand yourself with greater compassion, feel more equipped to navigate challenges, and develop greater trust in yourself as you move through college and whatever comes next.

Beginning therapy can often seem daunting. It can be the first time you are admitting something isn’t working, or you aren’t feeling okay. I want to provide the space and time for you to sit with that possibility, work together to understand those thoughts and feelings, and use your experiences to guide you toward new, affirming spaces and connections. Together, we can support you in navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, ADHD, neurodivergence, identity and LGBTQ+ related concerns, as well as relationship challenges, family dynamics, and major life transitions. Whether you’re beginning therapy or returning to it, I look forward to connecting and working together.
