Accepting new clients on Tuesday evenings. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or misunderstood while navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, neurodevelopmental differences, trauma, or life transitions such as school or work. At times, you might feel disconnected from your body or emotions or caught in negative self-beliefs. I offer a supportive, collaborative space to build practical tools, deepen self-understanding, and feel more grounded, confident, and hopeful as you move forward. I use a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to help clients understand their inner experiences and build coping skills. I integrate EMDR, CBT, and DBT with mindfulness, breathwork, yoga, journaling. As a registered yoga teacher, I bring an embodied lens to therapy, helping clients reconnect with their bodies as a source of information and safety. My intention is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore and accept your unique self, navigate life challenges, and heal from emotional pain. I tailor interventions to each person, helping you build confidence, challenge negative beliefs, and develop skills for future stressors. If you would like, book with me now by clicking on my website.

What I love most about my work is walking alongside people as they navigate life’s most difficult moments — grief, major life transitions, caregiving, serious illness, or the stress and uncertainty that comes with change. Life transitions can reshape how we understand ourselves, our relationships, and our future. Big changes — divorce, moving, career shifts, chronic illness, or the death of someone you love — can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Therapy is not about “moving on” or “getting over” your grief or stress. It’s about learning how to carry life’s challenges while honoring your story. I specialize in relational therapy that helps individuals, parents, and families make sense of the grief, stress, and anxiety that often comes with life transitions, while building on your inherent strengths to achieve your goals. I use principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build practical skills for coping and managing difficult emotions. I strive to be an authentic, warm, and honest therapist that brings empathy, understanding, and a little lightness to healing. Please feel welcome to reach out for an initial phone consultation - I would love to see if we’re a good fit.

The Narrative Network offers collaborative therapy for people across Massachusetts and brings therapists together for supervision, training, and ongoing relationships with the ideas and practices called narrative therapy. We believe people are more than the problems they are facing. Difficulties take shape in lives, relationships, histories, and social worlds — and therapy can create room to notice the values, knowledges, commitments, and relationships that may have become harder to see when life is difficult.

Chronic stress is not a requirement for success at work, at school or in relationships. If you are feeling depressed, anxious, or isolated, and/or coping with unhealthy habits, regaining balance is possible. Even the healthiest individuals can struggle to maintain physical, mental, and emotional balance in our high-tech, high-stress culture. In a judgment-free and solution-focused environment, we will work together to help you find more life satisfaction and confidence. I use only evidence-based, reliable practices in a safe, comfortable environment to help you feel better about your life direction.

You may be doing well on paper while quietly feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of yourself. I work especially well with college and graduate students navigating anxiety, identity questions, relationship concerns, grief, trauma, academic pressure, major life transitions, or the exhaustion of trying to meet everyone else’s expectations. My practice is welcoming to LGBTQIA+ students, veterans, adult learners, and others who have felt pressure to hide, shrink, or edit parts of themselves to belong. Therapy with me is warm, honest, and collaborative. Together, we can make sense of the patterns that have helped you survive, strengthen your ability to handle difficult emotions, and help you build a life guided by greater self-trust, choice, and authenticity.

Hi! I am licensed psychologist specializing in college students and young adults. My clinical work focuses on anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), emotion regulation, perfectionism, and life transitions. I work with clients who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from their goals, helping them develop the skills and insight needed to create meaningful, lasting change. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, individualized, and active. Together with my clients, I explore the patterns that contribute to distress while building practical, evidence-based strategies that foster greater psychological flexibility and drive values-based actions.

My degree is from Northeastern University where I graduated with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and became Licensed in 1996. Most recently, I was the Director of Psychology for Wrentham Developmental Center and an Area Psychologist for the Department of Developmental Services. Previously, I had my own private practice where I facilitated numerous social groups, provided individual and family therapy, and served as a Consultant to Cranston ARC, and Bristol Community College. In joining Needham Psychotherapy Associates, I am returning to my passion for clinical work. My approach would be considered eclectic, involving systems work, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, positive behavioral supports, and psychodynamic or insight-oriented work. In my view, the modality of therapy is often determined by the issues that one presents with as well as the style and comfort level of both the therapist and the client. It is important to me that the process of therapy is collaborative, sometimes humorous, and that clients are empowered to make choices in the course of their treatment. Simultaneously, I think there are times when clients need to be challenged to make further growth and progress. I love stories and the stories of people’s lives. In therapy, my style would involve asking a lot of open-ended questions to learn more about your story and your journey. Therapy should involve clients feeling, safe, challenged, and learning strategies and approaches to handle your problems more effectively. In the end, ideally clients will feel better about themselves and their world. Most definitely, I believe that there are times that clients should laugh in therapy, as humor and laughing are an important part of healing. I love working with young adults and the new ways they have of looking at the world as well as helping them navigate their present challenges and future transitions.

If you're like many of my clients, you long for emotional safety, clarity, and the freedom to live with authenticity, purpose, and connection. My offer to you something is simple and steady: a space where you do not have to perform, impress, or hold it all together. A space where you can exhale. I am especially drawn to working with people in transition especially college students standing on the edge of adulthood and professionalism. Transitions can shake your confidence. They can stir up old shame, old stories, old fears about not being enough. But they are also sacred turning points. They are invitations. Together, we will slow down and tune in. We will examine the narratives you’ve inherited and gently decide which ones no longer serve you. My hope for you is not that you leave therapy “better," but that you leave more fully yourself. I believe healing happens when someone sits with you long enough for you to remember your own strength. I will meet you with depth, honesty, humor and warmth. I will challenge you when needed, celebrate you when earned, and hold the mirror steady when you forget who you are. You do not have to worry alone. Everyone has a story. I look forward to hearing yours.

I am a master’s-level clinician supporting adults across the lifespan navigating a variety of life challenges, including anxiety, depression, identity exploration, self-criticism, and relationship concerns. I work with adults who often feel stuck, uncertain, or challenged by life circumstances, guiding them to explore their experiences, recognize patterns, and move towards a more meaningful and authentic life. My work is grounded in mindfulness, values, and identity. I primarily draw from ACT and existential therapy and integrate elements of EFT, narrative and psychodynamic therapy, and positive psychology. We examine patterns with curiosity and compassion, while developing practical skills and strategies to better navigate thoughts, emotions, and relationships. I aim to create a collaborative and supportive space where therapy is centered on your experiences and what matters most to you. Together, we explore new perspectives, deepen self-awareness, and experiment with approaches that help you navigate challenges with curiosity, intention, and a greater sense of purpose.

I have worked with people of all backgrounds but I generally work with women and the LGBT community. I work with clients on self-esteem, body positivity, anxiety management, trauma symptoms, and relational issues. As a human and a provider, I am feminist, anti-racist, fat positive, sex positive, pro-science, pro-vaccine, and pro-LGBT. My approach is varied depending on the individual's history with treatment. For people new to therapy, it may be helpful to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. CBT involves looking at thoughts patterns and behaviors that may be creating obstacles in your life and setting up appropriate coping skills to address those issues. For people who come to therapy for the purpose of processing trauma, a trauma-informed, relational approach is necessary. For people who are looking to gain understanding about how their past intersects with their present behaviors, insight oriented therapy would be the best approach. I am not a "Listen and Nod" therapist. I will actively listen, provide you with feedback and analysis, and be open with you about your diagnosis, prognosis, and any treatments indicated. With full transparency, I say that I am not a validation-only therapist. Some folks want a therapist who will listen and validate without providing feedback or analysis. That is not my style. I will, however, work with you to figure out exactly how you can benefit from therapy.
