Are you feeling anxious! I can give you a good understanding of neuroscience, how your brain works, and techniques so that you can better manage your anxiety. I enjoy helping college students gain a better understanding of how thoughts and experiences influence emotions and so I will provide you with practical feedback on your own thoughts/emotions to guide you in reaching your goals. I offer therapy with or without a Christian perspective. Your choice. No judgement from me, only support and encouragement to help you manage your difficulties.

*Telehealth/video sessions I have spent most of my career working as a therapist in a college counseling center. I am very familiar with all the challenges that being a student and balancing a new life bring. Becoming who you are going to be -while feeling and balancing all the things can seem so overwhelming! I work well with students who are struggling with fear, anxiety (social and other), relationships, old memories, trauma, recovering from sexual assault, past abuse, family conflict, low self esteem, worthlessness, self harm, eating difficulties, existential crisis, coming out-LGBTQ, and multicultural issues. My students tend to learn who they are and what matters to them, how to feel more peaceful, more joyful, more at ease, and more self loving. They often learn how to communicate better, say no, sleep at night, and have healthier relationships with others. I partner a lot with people who are healing from PTSD, or are grieving and have suffered losses as well. A lot of my clients say they feel more courageous, more at home in their body, more content being themselves and trusting of themselves after we work together. They feel empowered and comfortable being who they are. Although I am a private pay practice, please ask me about my student discount.I have a passion for working with students. We can also talk about appointment availability. If you are covered by insurance, I can give you a Superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Can we be real for a minute? You are here because you're just not happy anymore. Something has GOT to change. Maybe it feels like no matter how hard you try, nothing you do is ever good enough. You're spread so thin between school, family, and life- only to find that you are left empty and unfulfilled. You've done everything you were supposed to, isn't life supposed to be happy now? Instead you're filled with anxiety, feel disconnected from those around you, and no one is harder on you than yourself. You want to believe there is more to life than this, you want your cup filled too, but could you ever really believe you deserve it? That's where I come in. I specialize in helping women reject the unreasonable expectations the world has put on us, release pain from your past that holds you back, and reclaim your happiness! Imagine being able to radiate confidence and have a love for yourself you always longed for. Together we can work to create a life free of anxiety and self-criticism. If you are ready to begin rewriting your story, contact me today for a free phone consultation! In all honesty- I’m a lot like you! I’m a wife, a bonus mom, I love my fur babies, and I live in the same world that had me feeling stuck in that cycle. I know what it takes to get to a place of healing and happiness, and I would be honored to work with you.

Sometimes life feels overwhelming and out of control, and it can leave us feeling consumed by stress, anxiety, anger, depression, and hopelessness. While these emotions are an expected part of life, there are times they can grow so strong and intense that we feel powerless to manage them on our own. We may see their impact on various parts of our life – family, work, social relationships, our ability to feel pleasure, and our overall quality of life. If this resonates with you, if this is what you are experiencing, therapy can help. For more than 20 years, I’ve helped individuals face life’s challenges by assisting them in understanding their own emotional patterns and supporting them in making healthy choices. With time, effort, and the right tools, you can have a better outlook on any issues that life brings your way. Feeling uncertain and unsure where to start? Give me a call or message me to schedule your first appointment. My Experience and Practice Throughout my 20+ years of experience in community mental health, I have provided individual, family, and group therapy to adults and families with various diagnoses, struggles, and difficulties. My specialties are mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, personality disorders, self-esteem, adjustment issues, life transitions, and women's issues. I tend to have a more eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from multiple modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical-Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, as well as various trauma therapies, including Trauma-Focused CBT and Cognitive Processing Therapy. What to Expect: You determine your treatment goals, and together, we will identify the steps needed to reach them. Our work together will focus on developing the skills and tools necessary to effectively manage your emotions, handle distress, problem-solve, and have the life you want. We will work on improving those areas of your life that feel like a struggle. As you gain insight and understanding, self-growth occurs. With that growth comes change, and, in that change, you will find your life worth living. Life may feel dark now, but brighter days are ahead. Services are available in my office in Evans, GA, or via a secure telehealth platform. Insurance accepted: Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, Oxford, and Oscar Health. Private Pay Session Fee: $140 for a 50-minute session.

Life can be difficult to maneuver. As multifaceted individuals we often carry a little weight in every one of our realms. These weights can be a result of the specific “trauma points” that we’ve held on to as our perspective has grown over time. Those points look like family conflict, life transitions, career stress, relational/personal redevelopment or many other reasons for why we may have crossed paths here today. Overall, how we engage with those points affects our relationship with healing. Whether we recognize it or not, we all could have used guidance through a period of suffering. Every doubt is an opportunity for growth. “As you start to walk along the way, the way appears…” Trusting the journey by learning through our opportunities for growth can align us with our highest possible outcomes. To do that, I use a few types of therapy such as EMDR, CBT, Solutions-Focused & Strength-Based learning techniques to help encourage an atmosphere where growth is focused & intentional. It could be helpful to remember that the journey is the process. As we learn ourselves through guided introspection we can gain insight into patterns that contribute to our daily habits. You are exactly where you’re supposed to be. My intention is to meet you where you are, with respects to your journey. I look forward to walking along the way with you.

Whether it's your first time in therapy or you're looking to build on the work you've already started, you do not have to do it alone. I'm the first person in my family to graduate from high school, and I have an authentic, lived understanding of adversity. As someone who's personally experienced the benefit of therapy and self exploration, I've now landed here and hoping to get to work with you. The goal of my space is a mixture of “kick off your shoes” and “get ready to roll up your sleeves.” Meaning, is it important that you feel met with empathy and free of judgment, while also understanding that growth involves effort and sometimes discomfort. I take a trauma-informed approach to help you explore how past experiences may be shaping your present patterns. Using an eclectic approach and somatic practices, we’ll work together to build insight, enhance self-awareness, and self-compassion. Progress can look like feeling more present, more in control, and more connected to yourself. I believe change begins with being heard and understood. I want to help you, help yourself.
